The Wonderful world of the Klee Kai
FIRST AND FOREMOST, WE DO NOT SELL PUPPIES FOR CHRISTMAS OR ANY HOLIDAY PRESENTS.
If we happen to have puppies at Christmas or Easter, etc. it is strictly a
co-incidence and doesn't usually happen.
Also, please remember that matings only take place when we are striving to further
the breeding of the "perfect" Klee Kai. So, not every puppy produced is eligible
to be placed with someone on the waiting list. I will also be placing a few
female pups on co-ownerships with local people. So, if you are interested in that
kind of an arrangement, please contact me for details.
This year the picnic is being held on August 27th, the last Sunday of August as we are going to be out of town
until the 19th of August.
The picnic is always potluck, I furnish hamburgers and hotdogs, Mary Lou Brown always furnishes the fixings for
the hamburgers and dogs.
Carole & Paul Campbell are bringing the hamburger and hot dog buns. We do need covered dishes.

You do not have to own a Klee Kai to attend. If you're interested in learning more about the Klee Kai and

I don't care if they're cats, mice, or snakes as long as they are
abandoned animals in need of good homes.

Many dogs go to their new homes, only to have an early end come to their
lives. Therefore, I think that it is very important to include a page which
will help everyone learn the technique to teach your dog to
come on command.
These are the salmon treats I've told absolutely everyone about. I've used them
to train my dogs since the very beginning. Oh, I guess I tried dessicated liver
before, but the salmon works so very well that I use nothing else at this time.
When I'm in obedience classes, all the dogs are nudging my pockets for my treats,
on the other hand, my hands always stink like fish during obedience classes.

When you take your new pup home
there are things you should know in order to acclimate your new puppy
to his new home in the least stressful, safest way.

Pageplease e-mail me, and we can arrange to do that. This page was
originally set up for Klee Kai who are retiring or need rehoming because they
were returned to me. Since then I have decided to add the All Breed Rescue
feature in order to help all abandoned animals. Therefore, you will find that
these animals are being adopted for a fee, however, they are not the source of
income except to recouperate the expenses associated with spaying, neutering,
shots, training, etc. Whatever is needed to make these dogs adoptable is
considered part of that expense.
Neither of these
are commercial ventures, just love ventures. Please also bear in mind that I
am quite busy and only have so much space for these ventures. So, if I fail
to post something it will because I've run out of time or space. I'll do my
very best to help all I can.

Speaking of love, many pet owners love their pets so much that they'd like
to have a portrait of their pet. This lady apparently doesn't even advertise

I've done a lot of surfing and have decided to make a page with a lot
of the income possiblities which I have run across. This site also has
a link to surf for free.
We had our Annual Klee Kai Picnic on August 16th this year. If you are interested
in looking at them, there is an annimation of all the photos taken by us at the
picnic. This does take quite awhile to load, there is a
smaller one incase you pay a lot for your time spent on the net. Then
there is a larger
one which just about fills up the whole screen depending upon your screen size.

Pet Stores & Puppy Mills
I've run across a lot of pet store pages on the web lately, and would like to point out
some of the downfalls of adopting a pet in this manner. The pet stores claim that
you get a better dog because you have a larger selection. The breeders of
purebred dogs take exception to this characterization of their venture. Just take
a look at this page
to make your own intelligent decision as to the source of your next pup. I'm not
saying that a Klee Kai or a Shiba Inu, or whatever breed of dog you may choose
is the best dog for you. I'm saying that we can tell you more about the behavior
of each individual dog and temperament that might be expected in an individual
puppy. We can tell you the kind of situation which may cause a problem with your
pups' development. Some dogs, such as the Klee Kai does not do well with family
strife. Most dogs who are returned to me end up being misplaced because the family
was devorcing or fighting a lot or because the family thinks they can train the
pup good enough and refuse to take it to obedience class. Good enough, is
NOT enough for a Klee Kai and probably not enough for other breeds either. I tell everyone that
it is strongly recommended that they enter their pup in obedience classes and to
be sure to socialize the puppy extensively. If you train your pup at home, this
is not proper socialization and detrimental to the development of your pup. Not
all breeds need this, but who would know this better than a person who owns many
of your breed in their own home situation?
