Photos of recent litters.

Amy gave birth to two male pups on February 7, 1999. Both are going to be wolf gray and white I believe and if their birth weight is any indication, they will also be fairly small. Savi is the sire and Amy is the dame. Depending upon their size, pups will be ready to go home mid April.

I believe you will be able to save the photos in a file when you look at them by using the File "Save As". You can also click your right button and "save image as". If not, just let me know and I will e-mail a photo to interested persons.

Yuki had her 3 puppies yesterday, November 10. She had two males (I think they are wolf gray and white) and a gray and white female.

Amber was born on Mother's Day. Lena had a very difficult labor. We ended up at the Vets. We delivered two dead female puppies. Fortunately since we were at the vets, we were able to bring them back as the only reason they were born dead was because of the stress from the prolonged labor. Using oxygen, dopamine, and a few other techniques we have two miracle pups. Nan is now owned by the Fairbrother's and I just can't turn loose of a puppy who fought so hard to be here, that is Amber. Now we have two more miracle dogs, these Klee Kai it seems have such a will to live that not many things stop them. When these kinds of things happen, I take them as a sign that this particular soul was meant to be here with me, so here she will remain.

These are three males, 2 Maia's and 1 Ane's . Ane's photos are at 2 and 3 months old, the other pups are two months old just before they went to their new homes.

Here are a few photos a gray and white female , 2 black male males, and all three pups just hours old, with Gitina, the mom.

I've been terribly busy so am just going to post a collage of the puppies.Since we have three of Gitina's progeny (Mati, Ane and now Blue) Gitina is going to get a well deserved retirement. She's four years old and now lives with the LeBlanc family and her son Zorro.

So, again Tut is the father and Gitina is the mom.

Nanana is being retained by me. Here is the last photo of Nanana and Indy right before Indy went home. Here is a photo taken of Indy alone also right before he left for his new home on September 18, 1997. Since I'm updating the page, I'm also going to show you what Nanana looks like now. She is a little over 1 year old at the present time. So far she weighs 11 pounds.

Kali was mated and had her first female puppy, Dharma, on 1/2/98 and is remaining a part of our breeding program through a co-ownership. She is as we expected, perfect. Kali also had a little male, Dakota. The owner placed him with a family in Vancouver, Wa. As it turns out, Dakota was too alpha for those owners. So, I exchanged Dakota for one of Maia's pups. Maia's pup was very much, not alpha. They named him Miah, for their older dog which they had to have put down and the mother's name. They figured it was pretty coincidental that both their names were Maya, so used the different spelling but retained the pronunciation. Turns out that these folks were just not a Klee Kai family, so now, Miah has been placed with a new family in Battle Ground. Dakota is going to remain one of my new stud dogs. Here are a couple of photos of Kali's Dharma. She is six weeks old and is going to have long hair like Sonny in the photo album. At 5 months old Dharma is still very much a keeper for the gene pool. Here is her most recent photo .

Since she comes to stay quite often, here is a photo of both Kali's nearly grown pups taken in September 99.

Penny had Savi's puppies on the 16th. Just missed Valentine puppies. She had five puppies, and here is another photo .

Penny has retired and is now the proud owner of the Applegate family of Camas Washington.

Maia had her litter, three males. Pup photo 1 , pup photo 2, and a photo of two of the pups about 7 weeks old photo 3. . Pups were born on March 10, one of them weighed 14 ounces, poor Maia.

Penny's puppies are looking like they will remain very small. There are two females the black and white is being kept in the breeding program to replace Gitina who is our only Black and White female and is retiring. Here is a collage of Penny's pups.

Sila who mated with Savi finally had her puppy at about 10:00 the morning of 2/19.Her pup is one of the sweetest Klee Kai we've had to date. He has been placed with an 8 year old little girl in the Merkouriou home.

Ane's pups were born on March 3. I'm including a couple of photos. Here is the collage of those pups when they were first born. She has one male and one female. The male, Bandit is doing great in his new home unfortunately the female was killed when she went to her new home.

This is the most recent photo of Gitina's Anernerk, Ane which means Gitina's Angel, at two months old. Because she is joining our gene pool, I'll keep updating her photos until she has reached adulthood. This way, you can watch her grow along with our family.

As promised, here's a photo of Ane who turned one year old in July and here is a photo taken in September.

This is Aliana's Kodiack,

Kodi. Terri Drinkard-Stanton and family are his proud new adoptive family. They too have a page featuring their new Klee Kai.. Unfortunately folks Kodi managed to get out of his yard one day, and has gone to the Rainbow Bridge shortly before Christmas last year. Now that they know what escape artists these dogs are, they will be getting their female first, because the females are less likely to escape for the purpose of mating and of course that only happens twice a year anyway. With his own female at home, the next stud dog will be more likely to stay at home. with us.

This is Gitina's, Nuki. Kathy Rogers and family are her proud new adoptive family who is also Kal's new family. And here's an updated photo and this is
Kal's & Nuki's web page
by Jeff Rogers.

This is Gitina's Mikiyok, Mickey. Steve Grenier and family are his proud new adoptive family.

This is Opinnartok's Sivudlerk or Si, as we call him. He is a 4 month old male whose proud new owners are Shay and Andy Fairbrother.

Si is going to remain a part of the gene pool and Shay and Andy are waiting for just the right female.

This is Tara and pups. This is Nutarangoark's (Tara's)

Shiro Tora. He's a camera hog, has to be in every picture.

Here was the most recent photo of Shiro before he was adopted by the Kinahan family in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

This is Nutarangoark's Amarok, which means wolf. His call name is Simba. Here is an updated photo.

This is Nutarangoark's Mikiyok, Miki which means small or little. Her proud new owners are the Shelley Wain and family. Here is an updated photo of her .

These are all of Nivi's pups.

This is Gitina's Nappatak, call name zorro here is a more recent photo. Dee-Ann and Robert LeBlanc are his new family. His registered name is Nappatak which is fox in Eskimo but his call name is Zorro which is fox in Spanish. Dee-Ann and Rob thought this was appropriate for a little masked creature. You can view Dee-Ann's web page which contains all of Zorro's baby photos and updated photos to date.

This is Gypsy's female, Tazlina (Lena for short). Lena is being retained by the Co-owner and will remain in the breeding program. Lena is what is known as a Cinnar red. Cinnar actually means pink dog which is the overall impression she has. It is actually a very pale red. We are working to bring out the darker red. Here are a few photos when she was younger 2, 3, and 4.

This is Sivudlerk (Sivu for short) who will be going home on 7/25. Here are a few more photos 1, 2, and 3 whose proud new owners are Cheryl & Brad who also took that last photo.

This is Nanuck whose proud new owners are Penny and Tom Wilson, this is their second Klee Kai. Here are a few more photos 1, 2, and 3.

Lykos also had her pups on May 7, 1997. She had to have a c-section in order to deliver. She had one female and one male. Lyko's male is Luke whose proud new owners and photographers are Clinton Crook and Linda Duffy. Here's Luke and friends , another photo of Luke and his outside friend. Here are some updated photos arranged in a collage . The cat has taught Luke how to quench his thirst at the bathroom sink. Now he needs to learn how to use the "other" facilities. When someone comes up with a Klee Kai who will do this, I want to know how they did it.

Sinnak is Lykos' female who is being retained by the breeder since her dam is probably retiring. Here are a few more photos 1, 2, and 3. This is Sinnak at 4 months old.

Terry Adams and Migui Rodriquez are the proud new owners of one of Yuki's little males and Greg and Traci Murrie are the proud new owners of the other little male. Next the black and white male named Sitka, and photo 2 who is going to Vancouver, WA and has been neutered. He has beautiful long black and white hair. He is an escape artist who loves to play tag when he does get out. He's going through some intense training so that he doesn't end up like Carroll's Kodi.

This is Niviorpok's (Nivi's)

Silatuyok which means bright or intelligent. Sila has been rescued and is going to live with Clint and Linda Crook and Luke (one of last years puppies) up in Alberta Canada. Unfortunately Lukes buddy (an 8 year old black cat) crossed over the Rainbow bridge. Sila followed shortly after. She only got to be Luke's faithful companion for a week and a half. The emergency room vet said that Sila had come into contact with some kind of a toxin which caused her immune system to turn on itself. She couldn't be saved.

This is Niviorpok's Denali which is a city in Alaska. AC and Pamela Woolnough are his proud new owners.

This is Niviorpok's Maia. Maia has two blue eyes. This is the pup I have been breeding for eight years to get, so she is remaining in the breeding program. This year we only got males, we're hoping for some females next year.

This is Niviorpok's Suliwok which means she's busy, call name of Suzi. I believe Suzi's colors are going to end up like Goldie's and Mani's who are pictured in the photo album. Steven and Sharon Stodel are her proud new family. Here is the most recent photo of Suzi and one of her proud new owners.

This is Niviorpok's

Opi at 2 weeks old. This is Opi at 3 months old. Here is Opi and his new family at approximately 5 month old. Opi is for Opinnartok which means miracle which his survival has been. This pup's cleft palate has been repaired seven times, ten times I don't know, I've lost count but I'm sure that his owners are very aware of every time they had to pray that their little guy was going to come out of it whole. Even to this day, this hasn't happened yet. He has overcome several bacterial infections including a little pneumonia. Opi will have one last surgery this summer, but due to his prognosis if this one doesn't work, it will be his last (one way or another). This has to be one of the hardest decisions that a person could ever have to make. Opi has spent his entire life with a retainer to try to keep him from ripping his surgeries back open and give his mouth a chance to heal. Even now, when he has an infection, he knows that he will have to drink out of a bottle by putting his head all the way back so the fluid can just run down his throat and not get into his sinuses via his open palate. When he was just a few weeks old, he knew that he wouldn't live if he wasn't tube fed, but he hated it. He'd cry to me to feed him, but then everytime I would reach to pick him up, he would cringe. That's enough to break ones heart. Most breeders will put down a pup with a cleft palate, now a year and a half later, I can understand the reasoning. This is 1 year old Opi. My vets recommended doing the surgeries because they were sure that they could fix the palate and he had such a personality and such a will to live that it seemed inconceivable to even think about doing such a thing. As it turns out, we did Opi a disservice. The Sabos tell me that they love Opi so much that in the beginning, just as I, they couldn't even conceive of putting him down. Now because Opi has been on antibiotics since he was born and with every use, his infections become more and more resistent to new antibiotics, his long term prognosis of habitual infections prompts this decision. During the process of his next surgery, if it can't be fixed 100%, they will let him stay asleep.

Opi now weighs 7 pounds and according to the Sabo's has no idea that he is a mini anything. Nor would anyone ever know by looking at him that he had ever been sick a day in his life.

He lives in Lake Tahoe with Kokkomia photo #1 and photo 2 . Kokkomia has joined this family full of really special beings. I know you could never meet people with biggers hearts than these folks have.

Since I have two sites to manage on two different servers, I have attempted to separate Carroll's Klee Kai from Klee Kai National Kennel Club. It is difficult as my Carroll's Klee Kai site only has 5MB of disk space as opposed to 30MB on the KKNKC site.

So what I've done is some cross links. This is a work in progress, so please bear with me while I figure out the best way to cover all of the information while separating the two.

For any other questions, please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected].
